Graveside services for John L. West Jr., 59, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence.Mr. West died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008, at Medicalodge of Leavenworth.He was born Jan. 3, 1949, in Lawrence, the son of John L. Sr. and Doris J. Howard West. He attended Lawrence schools.Mr. West worked for his parents and was owner of J. West Feed Store in North Lawrence for many years. He later worked for Lawrence Bus Company. He was a member of the Christian community.Survivors include three sons, John L. III, Rusty and Dustin, all of Lawrence; three daughters, Vicki Ash, Tecumseh, Rachel West, Colorado, and Sherril Bartlett, Lawrence; his mother, Tecumseh; and seven grandchildren.Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.Online condolences may be sent at www.rumsey-yost.com.
