Trevor Roy Krueger 1970 - 2008 Topeka
Memorial services for Trevor Roy Krueger, 37, Topeka, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Inurnment will be at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence.Mr. Krueger died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2007, at his home.He was born March 25, 1970, in Hays, the son of Nelson and Judith Haigler Krueger. He graduated from Lawrence High School. He attended Johnson County Community College, Kansas State University and Washburn University. He completed a course in industrial maintenance at Kaw Area Technical School.Mr. Krueger was a mental health counselor and was employed as a community living professional for Sheltered Living Inc. in Topeka. He also worked for many years as a technician at Valeo and as a case manager for Mirror Inc. He served as a governor's appointee on the Kansas Advisory Group on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. He enjoyed working with children and helping others.He was an avid trapshooter and won many medals at the state and national levels. He was a life member of the Trapshooters Association and National Rifle Association.Survivors include his parents, Lawrence; a sister, Jacquie Stineman and husband David, Lawrence; his maternal grandmother, Olga Haigler, Lawrence; and two nieces, Katherine and Charlotte Stineman.He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James P. Haigler; his paternal grandparents, Margaret and A.H.
