Edna Ann Platt

Mass of Christian Burial for Edna Ann Platt, 89, Ozawkie, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Aloysius Church in Meriden. Burial will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Duluth.Mrs. Platt died Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka, after a brief illness.She was born June 9, 1918, in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of John and Mary Pyrc Tryszczyla.She married Cecil Platt on Dec. 28, 1947, in New Castle, Neb. He preceded her in death on April 14, 1977. They lived in Iowa and Topeka before moving to a farm near Meriden in 1948. They owned and operated a dairy farm for many years.Survivors include a sister, Rose Moe, Ozawkie, and many nieces and nephews.Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Aloysius Church, where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Aloysius Church, sent in care of Barnett-Chapel Oaks Meriden Chapel, P.O.
