Donald Joseph “Jinxie” Bread Sr.

Prayer services for Donald Joseph “Jinxie” Bread Sr., Lawton, will be at 7 p.m. today with funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday, both at Centenary United Methodist Church in Lawton. Burial will be in Saddle Mountain Kiowa Indian Cemetery.Mr. Bread died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, in Lawton.He was born Sept. 27, 1944, in Lawton, the son of Charles Brady Sr. and Evelyn Tsatoke Beard. He graduated from Lawton Senior High School in 1962 and Haskell Institute in Lawrence, Kan., with a commercial business license in 1964. He also attended Cameron Junior College.Mr. Bread served as an instructor of business and tribal management, dean of the School of Business and vice president for Academic Affairs at Haskell Indian Nations University and retired in 2005.He married Marilyn Kodaseet. She survives, of the home.A son, Chris Bread, preceded him in death.Other survivors include a son, Donald J., of the home; three daughters, Renee Zuk, Edmond, Okla., Connie Bread-Shawnee, Anadarko, Okla., and Erica Bread, Wichita Falls, Texas; and 12 grandchildren.
