Georgiana Brune 1911 - 2008 Lawrence
Memorial services for Georgiana Brune, 96, Lawrence, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lawrence Presbyterian Manor Chapel. Private graveside services will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.Mrs. Brune died Monday, Feb. 18, 2008, at Presbyterian Manor.She was born June 20, 1911, in Jefferson County, the daughter of William and Maude Packard Eberhard. She graduated from Kansas University in 1934 and taught school for one year. She farmed near Lawrence for many years.She married Frank E. Brune on Aug. 18, 1935, in Jefferson County. He preceded her in death.Survivors include a daughter, Janet Rodgers, Martinsburg, W.Va.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.The family suggests memorials to The Salvation Army or Heart of America Hospice, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.Online condolences may be sent at <a href="http://www.rumsey-yost.com">www.rumsey-yost.com</a>.
