Doris Deerinwater 1925 - 2008 Lawrence
Funeral services for Doris Deerinwater, 82, Lawrence, will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Lawrence Heights Christian Church. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Fort Gibson Citizens Cemetery, Fort Gibson, Okla.Mrs. Deerinwater died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.She was born July 15, 1925, in Fort Gibson, the daughter of Eula and Julia Etheridge Dye.She graduated from Fort Gibson High School. She worked for Otasco. She also was a housekeeper for Days Inn.She married Darrell Deerinwater on May 30, 1963. He died Nov. 11, 1988.Survivors include two adopted sons, Calvin H. Gaskin and Alan J. Dansker, and an adopted granddaughter, Tamara, all of the home; an adopted sister, Bonita Bennett, Lawrence; and three stepchildren, Steve Deerinwater, Randy Deerinwater and Yvonne Deerinwater, all of Oklahoma.The family will receive friends following the service Thursday.The family suggests memorials to Lawrence Heights Christian Church, sent in care of Warren McElwain Mortuary.Online condolences may be sent at <a href="http://www.warrenmcelwain.com">www.warrenmcelwain.com</a>, subject: Deerinwater.
