Darlene Clough

Funeral services for Darlene Clough, 75, Ottawa, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa. Graveside inurnment services will be at a later date in Sunset Memory Gardens in Atchison.Mrs. Clough died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, at Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa. She was born Sept. 8, 1932, in Atchison, the daughter of Carl and Mildred Blanche Davey Matthias. She graduated from Atchison High School in 1950. She moved from Burlingame to Ottawa in 1957.Mrs. Clough worked as a receptionist and bookkeeper at Strehlow, Hadley & Philgreen Chartered for more than 30 years and retired in 1995. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Ottawa.She married Gene Clough on May 12, 1951, in Buckeye, Ariz. He died July 28, 2004.Mrs. Clough was also preceded in death by two sisters, Naomi Wright Barker and Barbara Thomas.Survivors include a son, Danny Clough, Ottawa; two daughters, Gayle Bones and husband Kenneth, Gardner, and Paula Mages and husband Tim, Ottawa; three brothers, Larry Matthias and wife Etta Mae, Horton, Garry Matthias and wife Dee, Mounds, Okla., and Dave Matthias, Independence, Mo.; two sisters, Ruth Corkran and husband John, Grandview, Mo., and Betty Moore, Ottawa; six grandchildren, Sadye, Cale and Anna Mages, Nathan Clough and Amy and Shawn Bones; and many nieces and nephews.Friends may call after 9 a.m. today until the time of the service at the mortuary, where the family will receive them from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today.The family suggests memorials to Faith Lutheran Church, sent in care of Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
