Mary June Impson

Services for Mary June Impson, 77, Denton, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Denton.Mrs. Impson died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008, in Denton after a battle with cancer.She was born Nov. 28, 1930, in Durant, Okla., the daughter of L.C. and Opal Dennis Curtis. She attended Kansas University and East Texas State University.Mrs. Impson was a retired professor at Texas Woman’s University. In the early 1960s she taught school at Vinland High School. She also taught Home Economics at Central Junior High School in Lawrence, Kan.She married Boytt Impson in Durant, Okla., in 1949. They divorced in 1969. They remarried in 1972 and divorced in 1974. She married Billy Roy Switzer in 1982 in Texas. They divorced in 1994 and remarried in Las Vegas in 2001. He survives.Other survivors include two sons, Loren Cail Impson, Mount Ida, Ark., and Keiller Boytt Impson, Dayton, Tenn.; a daughter, Delene Impson, rural Vinland, Kan.; and 15 grandchildren.
