Virginia Lee Vickers

Tonganoxie — A memorial service for Virginia Lee Vickers, 70, Tonganoxie, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Quisenberry Funeral Home in Tonganoxie. Mrs. Vickers died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, at her home. She was born July 13, 1938, in Fort Morgan, Colo., the daughter of Karl and Donna Dill Schreiner. Mrs. Vickers was a medical assistant for 20 years for the Dr. Stevens Medical Office in Tonganoxie. She was a member of the Tonganoxie Reading Club.She married Horace Vickers on March 4, 1961, in Las Vegas. He survives, of the home.Other survivors include two sons, Shaun Vickers, Huron, S.D., and Eric Vickers, Lansing; two brothers, Eldon Schreiner, Denver, and Willie Schreiner, Fort Morgan, Colo.; a sister, Pat Hard, Boulder, Colo.; and one grandson.The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.Online condolences may be sent at quisenberryfh.com.
