Eudora — Funeral services for Marjorie L. Cox, 79, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary-Eudora Chapel in Eudora. Burial will follow at Eudora Cemetery.Mrs. Cox died Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, at Windsor Place in Lawrence.She was born Nov. 7, 1929, in Erie, the daughter of Roy Lorenzo and Marie Nola Craig Culbertson. She graduated from Erie High School and moved to Eudora in 1977.Mrs. Cox was a homemaker. She had also been a member of the Kindergarten Mother’s Club-PTA, a room mother, a member of the Manasseh County Choir, a den mother for the Cub Scouts, a member of Home Demonstrators County Unit, and she helped with 4-H. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Eudora.She married Eldon Orval Cox on March 21, 1948, in Erie. He died Dec. 24, 2007.Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Lou Marnell, Bartlesville, Okla., and Jacqueline Sue Crumrine, Wichita; three sons, Rex Eldon, Lawrence, Gary Lee, Mulvane, and Brent, Eudora; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary-Eudora Chapel.The family will greet friends from 1 p.m. Friday until the time of service at Warren-McElwain Mortuary-Eudora Chapel.The family suggests memorials to the Eudora Library in her name, sent in care of the mortuary, 1003 E.
