Valley Falls — A memorial Mass for Joseph Edward Klenklen, 44, Perry, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Valley Falls. Cremation is planned. Mr. Klenklen died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, as a result of injuries from a single-vehicle accident in Valley Falls.He was born Aug. 17, 1964, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of William F. and Dolores L. Wood Klenklen. He graduated from Valley Falls High School and Kaw Area Technical School. He was a former resident of Valley Falls.Mr. Klenklen was a flooring installer for more than 25 years and had owned his own installing business for 20 years. He had worked for Kring’s Interiors in Lawrence since 2004. He was a member of St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Valley Falls.Mr. Klenklen married Tina Wendt on Oct. 23, 1985, in Phoenix. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Donald Joseph “D.J.” and Kody Lee, both of Perry; his father, Valley Falls; two brothers, Kevin and wife Jamie and Kenny and wife Melanie, all of Ozawkie; and three sisters, Carol Klenklen, Wichita, Janet James and husband Rusty, Ozawkie, and Donna Klenklen, Valley Falls.He was preceded in death by his mother, who died on Dec. 2, 1997.The family will meet friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls.
