Marjorie Yvonne McCandless 1936 - 2008 Louisburg
Services for Marjorie Yvonne McCandless, 72, Louisburg, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Louisburg. Burial will be in Louisburg Cemetery.Mrs. McCandless died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008, in Salina.She was born Aug. 1, 1936, in Bryn Mawr, Calif., the daughter of James A. and Mallie D. Gibson Hall.Mrs. McCandless was a homemaker and served on the Louisburg Senior Center board. She was active in numerous other area organizations.She married Warren D. McCandless on Dec. 7, 1957, in Woodburn, Ore. He preceded her in death.Six sisters, two brothers and her parents also died earlier.Survivors include two sons, Michael Warren McCandless and wife Kathy, Bennington, and Patrick Dale McCandless and wife Debra, Lawrence; a daughter, Pamela Dean Soper and husband Ray, Carthage, Mo.; a sister, Leora Miles, Lebanon, Ore.; a nephew, Jimmy Brown, Enumclaw, Wash.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church.The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association or the Louisburg Senior Center, sent in care of Penwell-Gabel Louisburg Chapel, P.O.
