Robert Junior Bullock

Robert Junior Bullock, 85, Friendswood, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008.Mr. Bullock was born March 30, 1923, the son of George Robert and Bessie Lamon Bullock. He was raised in the agricultural community around Codell, Kan. He attended Codell High School, where he played quarterback. He lived in Wichita, Kan., Shreveport, La., and Houston.He served in the U.S. Navy as a pilot and instructor. He worked at Beechcraft in Wichita. He also worked as an aircraft mechanic for Eastern Transmission Corporation, where he later became a pilot in the aviation department and retired as manager in 1985.Mr. Bullock married Edna Dunfield on Sept. 13, 1944, in Corpus Christi. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include two daughters, F. Jolene Andersen, Lawrence, Kan., and Elizabeth “Becky” Lott; two sons, Jon and Mark Bullock; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.Forest Park East Funeral Home in Webster is in charge of arrangements.
