Myrtle J. Andres 1924 - 2008 Topeka

Funeral services for Myrtle J. Andres, 83, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Wanamaker Road Baptist Church in Topeka. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.Mrs. Andres died Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was born Oct. 16, 1924, in Burlingame, the daughter of Raymond and Ella Stewart Michael.Mrs. Andres worked as a welder in Wichita during World War II. She worked with her husband on the RV Maps Ministries, spending time in Texas and Florida after she retired. She was an active member of Lawrence Christian Center.She married Irvin Andres on May 27, 1943, in Topeka. He died April 29, 2007.She is survived by a son, Richard Lee Andres of Woodstock, Georgia; two daughters, Marsha Kay Alexander, Baldwin City, and Ella Mae McAdoo, Chiefland, Fla.; a sister, Betty Hatten, Bayard, N.M.; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. today at Davidson Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.The family suggests memorials to Lawrence Christian Center, sent in care of the funeral home, 1035 N.
