Lena May Hoover

Funeral services for Lena May Hoover, 95, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Memorial Chapel of First Presbyterian Church in Bartlesville. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Washington Creek Cemetery in Douglas County, Kan.Mrs. Hoover died Thursday, April 24, 2008, at her home.She was born May 31, 1912, in Douglas County, the daughter of Claude and Eva Lutz Katherman. She moved to Dewey, Okla., in 1934 and then to Chicago in 1939. She returned to Dewey, Okla., in 1947 and then moved to Bartlesville in 1957.Mrs. Hoover was a member of the Athenian Club. She volunteered with the Gray Ladies, American Red Cross and Meals on Wheels.She married Harold Isaac Hoover on May 13, 1932. He preceded her in death.Mrs. Hoover was also preceded in death by a son, Mark Allan Hoover, two brothers and two sisters.Survivors include a daughter, Rhona Jean Crocker; a son, Wayne Milton Hoover; 15 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Arnold Moore Funeral Home in Bartlesville.
