Jerry Lee Todd 1943 - 2008 Bryan, Texas
Memorial services for Jerry Lee Todd, 64, Bryan, Texas, were Sunday, March 30, at First United Methodist Church in Navasota.Mr. Todd died Saturday, March 22, 2008, at his home after a long illness of cancer.He was born April 29, 1943, in Leavenworth, Kan., the son of Roy William and Violet Drennon Todd. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1961. He moved to Texas in 1979.Mr. Todd owned Todd's Automotive in Navasota. He previously worked at British Motors in Lawrence, Kan., and Wichita, Kan., and for the city of Lawrence. He also owned Foreign Car City in Topeka, Kan., and worked for Hackney Industries in Navasota. He enjoyed racing cars and restoring classic cars. He was a member of the Classic Car Club in Navasota.He married Sue McMahon on May 26, 1963, in Lawrence. They divorced. He married Cynthia Kooken on April 2, 1988. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include a son, Kenny Todd and wife Renee, Texas; two stepsons, Kerry Kooken Jr. and wife Michele and Kris Kooken and wife Nellie, all of Texas; a daughter, Anne Todd, Texas; three brothers, Roy W. and wife Judy, Oskaloosa, Kan., Jack and wife Delores, Lawrence, and John and wife Nancy, Lenexa, Kan.; five sisters, JoAnn Church, Joy Bolz and husband Al, Carol Brewster and husband Phil and Linda Lee and husband Tom, all of Lawrence, and Judy Coffman and husband Gary, McLouth, Kan.; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.Mr. Todd was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Betty Long; and an infant grandson.
