Beatrice Rita Galinski

A memorial Mass for Beatrice Rita Galinski, 81, Wilmington, will be at a later date in Wilmington and will be announced by Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence, Kan.Mrs. Galinski died Monday, March 31, 2008, at Pioneer Ridge Retirement Community in Lawrence.She was born May 14, 1926, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of August and Catherine Lear Liuzzo. She lived in Lawrence from 1968 to 1971, when she moved to Charlotte, N.C. She moved to Wilmington in 1985. Mrs. Galinski was a homemaker and coached girls’ basketball at St. Stanislaus Catholic High School in Cleveland for many years. She was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Wilmington, where she was very active in church organizations.She married Theodore Anthony Galinski on July 19, 1947, in Cleveland. He died May 4, 2001.She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl McClain, on March 14, 2008.Survivors include two daughters, Pat Kuester and husband Dennis, Lawrence, Kan.; Shirley Ball and husband Owen, Sandia Park, N.M.; a son, Theodore J. and wife Andrea, Raleigh, N.C.; a son-in-law, Victor McClain, Somerdale, N.J.; four grandchildren, Kelly Durrill and Daniel, Jacquelyn and Jodi McClain; and four great-grandchildren, Harper and Charlie Davey and Ian and Kyle McClain.
