Barton Andrew Nash 1951 - 2007 Lawrence
Memorial services for Barton Andrew Nash, 56, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Cemetery.Mr. Nash died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at his home.He was born Aug. 19, 1951, in St. Louis, the son of Robert Hamby and Helen Norris Nash.Mr. Nash served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a finish carpenter. He was a member of the First Santa Fe Trail Plainsmen and Kansas Muzzleloaders Association.He married Laura K. McClure on Feb. 4, 1994, in Lawrence. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include two daughters, Heather Lee King and Travis Aubrey Carter, both of St. Louis; a son, Barton L., Lawrence; a brother, Jimmy; a sister, Jane; and a grandchild.The family will receive friends from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the west part of the Children's Church at Mustard Seed Christian Fellowship in Lawrence.The family suggests memorials to the Barton Nash Educational Youth Fund, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.Online condolences may be sent at <a href="http://www.warrenmcelwain.com">www.warrenmcelwain.com</a>, subject: Nash.
