Rose Herod Poterbin McLaughlin 1910 - 2007 Tonganoxie
Services for Rose Herod Poterbin McLaughlin, 96, Tonganoxie, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Tonganoxie. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City, Kan. Mrs. McLaughlin died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.She was born Dec. 1, 1910, in Rayville, Mo., the daughter of William and Nora Richardson Herod.She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Poterbin, in 1962, and by her second husband, Garland McLaughlin, in 1982.Survivors include four sons, James A. Poterbin, Edwards, Mo.; Joseph A. Poterbin, Mission; Jerry R. Poterbin, Lenexa; and John R. Poterbin, Tonganoxie; a daughter, Mary Lou Busby, Overland Park; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the church, where a rosary will be said at 7 p.m.Quisenberry Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
