Norman Paul Stuewe

Services for Norman Paul Stuewe, 83, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church and University Student Center in Lawrence. Burial will be in Alma Cemetery, Alma.Mr. Stuewe died Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, at his home in Lawrence.He was born Dec. 2, 1923, in Alma, the son of Albert E. and Frieda Lutz Stuewe. He had been a resident of Lawrence since 1947 after moving from Kansas City, Mo.He attended Kansas State University for one year and was an avid KSU sports fan.Mr. Stuewe worked as a cinematographer and was a former co-owner of Centron Corp. in Lawrence until 1985. He then worked at Landplan Engineering in Lawrence until recently.He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and University Student Center in Lawrence.He is survived by his companion, Fransje Knops, Lawrence; two daughters, LeAnn and husband David Howard, Fairway, and Nancy and husband Gary Woolfolk, Dallas; two sons, Brad R. and wife Paula Fried, Salina, and Scott P. and wife Leesa Duby, Fairway; two brothers, Don, Casper, Wyo., and Maurice, Alma; and nine grandchildren, Judson, Elizabeth, Jon, Elise, Meredith, Allison, Savannah, Sam and Ilana. A brother, Alfred, and a sister, Lois Eagleton, died earlier.The family will greet friends from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
