Betty J. Willis 1934 - 2007 Topeka
Topeka - Services for Betty J. Willis, 72, Topeka, were Thursday at Newcomer Family Funeral Home in Topeka. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka. Mrs. Willis died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007, at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka.She was born Nov. 21, 1934, in Moberly, Mo., the daughter of Geno and Vivian Clark Daiprai. She grew up in Wyoming and lived in Topeka since 1969.Mrs. Willis operated Betty's Day Care from 1987 to 1997. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.She married William H. Willis on Nov. 28, 1950, in Rock Springs, Wyo. He survives, of the home.Other survivors include two daughters, Becci Nelson, Rossville, and Barbara Willis, Lawrence; a son, Bill Willis Jr. and wife Brenda, Lecompton; a brother, Larry Daiprai, Topeka; four grandchildren, Gina Penzig, Jason Nelson, Bonnie Jones and John Willis; and three great-grandchildren.Mrs. Willis was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Daiprai.The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, 1315 S.W.
