Gerald E. Culver 1928 - 2007 Winfield
Hutchinson - Funeral services for Gerald E. Culver, 79, Winfield, will be at 10 a.m. today at Elliott Chapel in Hutchinson. Graveside services with Masonic rites and military honors will be in Fairlawn Burial Park in Hutchinson.Mr. Culver died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007, at William Newton Hospital in Winfield.He was born May 22, 1928, in Lamont, the son of Lesslie C. and Clara Mae Burkey Culver. He graduated from Claflin High School in 1946. Mr. Culver served in the U.S. Army as a corporal during the Korean conflict. He worked as a bank teller with Hutchinson National Bank for more than 45 years and retired in 1990.He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hutchinson, Winfield Masonic Lodge 110, Hutchinson Reno Masonic Lodge 124 A.F. & A.M. and Veterans of Foreign Wars Bob Campbell Post 1361 and a charter member of High 12 American Legion Lysle Rishel Post 68.Survivors include two brothers, Kenneth, Lawrence, and Leonard, Loveland, Colo. The family suggests memorials to First United Methodist Church or Hutchinson Reno Masonic Lodge 124 A.F. & A.M., sent in care of the mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson 67501.
