Royce Arland Myers

Mesa, Ariz. – Memorial services for Royce Arland Myers, 86, Mesa, will be at 10 a.m. today at the Sunland Village East Mesa Verde Room in Mesa.Mr. Myers died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007.He was born April 16, 1921, in Miami County, Kan., to R.W. and Fredonia Myers. He moved to Mesa in 1987. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater. He was retired from International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 124 in Kansas City, Mo., where he was a member for 36 years. He was a past master of Masonic Lodge 236 and post commander of American Legion Louis Hanson Post 194 in Wellsville, Kan., for 61 years.He was married to NeEva Hollinger Myers for 66 years. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include two daughters, Pamela Heathman, Mesa, and Dee Power, Lawrence, Kan.; two sisters, Aileen Hartpence, Lawrence, Kan., and Bernadine Broers, Baldwin City, Kan.; two brothers, Wendell, Bonny Lake, Wash., and Gale, Lexington, Ky.; and a grandson.Mariposa Gardens and Funeral Care in Mesa is in charge of arrangements.
