Ronald J. "Joe" McCory 1950 - 2007 Lecompton
Services for Ronald J. "Joe" McCoy, 57, Lecompton, will be at 3 p.m. today at Williamstown Assembly of God in Perry. Mr. McCoy died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007, at his home in Lecompton.He was born Oct. 5, 1950, in Coldwater, the son of Ronald and Sibyl McCoy. He graduated from Coldwater High School in 1968 and attended Southwestern College and Kansas University.Mr. McCoy served in the U.S. Army as a medic from 1972 to 1974. He was a member of the Eagle Scouts and had tennis and academic scholarships to Southwestern College. He married Karen Milligan on July 28, 1979, in Lawrence. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include a son, John Patrick, Topeka; sisters, Melanie McCoy, Simi Valley, Calif. and Patricia Turcotte, Centralville, Ohio; a brother, Robert Muncy; and one granddaughter.
