Robert Vance Eberwein 1925 - 2007 Lawrence
Graveside memorial services for Robert Vance "Bob" Eberwein, 81, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Eberwein died Monday, April 30, 2007, at his home.He was born Sept. 13, 1925, in Lawrence, the son of Charles Otto and Olive King Eberwein. He graduated from Liberty Memorial High School and later attended Kansas University. He was a lifelong resident of Lawrence.Mr. Eberwein served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, where he earned the Victory Medal, American Area Campaign Medal and Asiatic-Pacific Area Campaign Medal. He was a production operator at Stokley-Van Camp. He later worked at Murphy Hall and as a library assistant at Kansas University.Survivors include a brother, Elroy, Patterson, Calif.; and two sisters, Martha Harper, Perry, and Mary Ellen Limke, Collinsville, Okla.Online condolences may be sent at www.rumsey-yost.com.
