Ida Mae Walsh

Funeral services for Ida Mae Walsh, 99, Sedalia, Mo., will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Palco Cemetery in Palco.Mrs. Walsh died Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at Sylvia Thompson Residence Center in Sedalia, Mo.She was born May 25, 1907, on a farm near Damar, the daughter of Joseph and Zelda Hubert Belisle. Mrs. Walsh was a homemaker and member of the Unity Church. She was an avid Kansas University basketball fan for more than 30 years. She married Donald Welsh on Feb. 19, 1923, in Palco. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Chapman; a son, Dean; a grandson, Jack; a great-great-granddaughter, Starr Burkett; six sisters and four brothers. Survivors include a son, Conrad and wife Alta, Sedalia, Mo.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends after the service.
