Russell Lewis "Junie" Logan II 1957 - 2007 Topeka

Funeral services for Russell L. Logan Jr., 50, Topeka, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence.Mr. Logan died Sunday, May 6, 2007, at the Colmery-O'Neil Veterans Administration Medical Center in Topeka.He was born March 18, 1957, in Lawrence, the son of Russell L. Sr. and Helen M. Jefferson Logan. He attended Lawrence public schools and was a former resident of Lawrence.Mr. Logan served in the U.S. Army in Germany.He married Debra Gurley. They divorced. He married Diana Bailey. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include his mother, Lawrence; a son, Russell III, Lawrence; three daughters, Amy Penoman, Kansas City, Mo., and Cierre Louise and Brady Gayle, both of Topeka; a brother; Brian E. Brown; five sisters, Cynthia Simms, Arlington, Texas, Lydia Coleman and Donna Logan, both of Lawrence, Rochelle Nelson, Lexington, Ky., and Dorla Lakes, Dallas; and seven grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary.Online condolences may be sent at <a href="http://www.warrenmcelwain.com">www.warrenmcelwain.com</a>, subject: Logan.
