Stefanie Pulliam
A life celebration for Stefanie Pulliam, 54, Wichita, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at University United Methodist Church in Wichita. Ms. Pulliam died Monday, March 26, 2007, in Wichita after a long struggle with cancer.She was born Jan. 24, 1953, in Lawrence, the daughter of Bob and Alice Pulliam.She graduated from Lawrence High School in 1971. She received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in early childhood development from Kansas University. She moved to Wichita in 1984.Ms. Pulliam worked as a swimming instructor and lifeguard in Lawrence, a day care provider, an early childhood teacher at KU, a child care director for Wyandotte County Day Care Association and a director with the Wichita Child Care Association. She also worked at College Hill Elementary School as a substitute teacher, secretary, lunch room aide and playgroup supervisor. She volunteered with Cub Scouts, Sunday school, Mom’s Day Out Program, Great Plains Earth Institute and the Ending World Hunger Campaign. She was a volunteer and board member with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Mid-Kansas Affiliate in Wichita. Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Lincoln Scott, of the home; three sons, Joshua, Will and Joe; three sisters, Terri Pulliam, Kansas City, Mo., and Cammie Braden and Lisa Pulliam, both of Lawrence; and her first husband, Pat Ruble, St. Paul, Minn.The family suggests memorials to Susan G.
