Robinette "Robbie" Greenwell 1922 - 2007 Winfield
Funeral services for Robinette "Robbie" Greenwell, 84, Winfield, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Winfield.Mrs. Greenwell died Saturday, March 17, 2007, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.She was born Sept. 2, 1922, in Udall, the daughter of James and Stella Pennington DeFore. She lived in Winfield for many years before moving to Lawrence in November 2006.Mrs. Greenwell was a lab technician at Snyder Medical Clinic in Winfield. She baby-sat many children in Winfield over the years.She married Ernest Greenwell on July 12, 1942, in Dexter. He survives, of the home.Other survivors include a daughter, Linda Robinson, Lawrence; two sons, Michael Greenwell, Derby, and Steven Greenwell, Highland, N.Y.; a sister, Isabelle Greenwell, Bow, Wash.; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.A son and a daughter preceded her in death.The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Miles funeral home in Winfield.The family suggests memorials to the Lawrence Memorial Hospital Endowment Association Capital Campaign, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence, which is in charge of local arrangements.Online condolences may be sent at <a href="http://www.warrenmcelwain.com">www.warrenmcelwain.com</a>, subject: Greenwell.
