Jerry Wagner Schmitt 1920 - 2007 Lawrence

Private services for Jerry Wagner Schmitt, 76, Lawrence, will be at a later date.Mr. Schmitt died Friday, March 16, 2007, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.He was born March 20, 1920, in St. Louis, the son of F.W. and Grace Johnson Schmitt. He was a lifelong resident of Lecompton and Lawrence. He graduated from Lecompton High School in 1948.Mr. Schmitt served in the U.S. Navy for three years. He worked for Farmland Industries until his retirement in 1991.He married Marjorie Tuckel on July 24, 1956, in Topeka. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include a son, Robert, Lawrence, and a brother, Climent "Butch," Wichita.The family suggests memorials to the Lecompton Historical Society, 609 E.
