May Randel 1924 - 2007 Baldwin City
Baldwin City - Funeral services for May Randel, 82, Baldwin City, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home in Baldwin City. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Baldwin City.Ms. Randel died Thursday, March 15, 2007, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.She was born Sept. 18, 1924, in Irrigon, Ore., the daughter of John Peter and Ora Ethel Burrus Goebel. She attended grade school in Edgerton and graduated from Baldwin High School in 1942.Ms. Randel was a homemaker. She later worked for Vermilian's Furniture Manufacturing in Baldwin City and E & E Specialists in Lawrence for 20 years. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and especially her animals.She married Jack Randel. They divorced.Survivors include many nieces, nephews and cousins.She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Ethel Evelyn Moody and Stella Margaret Randel.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association or Bea Martin Peck Animal Shelter, sent in care of Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 64, Baldwin City 66006.
