Roger Wayne Rogg 1939 - 2007 Lawrence
Services for Roger Wayne Rogg, 67, Lawrence, were Monday at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Hutchinson with the Rev. Joe Eckberg presiding. Burial was in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum in Hutchinson.Mr. Rogg died Friday, March 2, 2007, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.He was born Nov. 11, 1939, in Ellsworth, the son of Carl Wayne and Bernadine Vlcek Rogg. He graduated from Hutchinson High School and attended Northwestern University and Kansas State University. He lived in Hutchinson from 1949 to 1988 and was a resident of Lawrence since 1998.Mr. Rogg served in the U.S. Air National Guard. He was the owner and president of R.W. Rogg & Associates and Rogg Builders. He was a member of the Association of General Contractors, Holy Cross Catholic Church, Corpus Christi Catholic Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He married Vicki Sue Haskard on Aug. 8, 1959, in Hutchinson. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include his mother, Bernadine Allsup, Hutchinson; a son, Kevin R., Hutchinson; three daughters, Lori L. Rogg, Kansas City, Mo., Kari A. Collier and husband Beau, Collierville, Tenn., and Wendy K. Rast and husband Earen, Chandler, N.C.; a brother, Dwight Allsup, Sterling; a sister, Jean Kibbe, Hutchinson; and two grandchildren, Caden M. and Maya R. Collier.Mr. Rogg was preceded in death by his father, Carl W.; and a son, Carl W.The family suggests memorials to a charity of the donor's choice, sent in care of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson 67502.
