Roger Allen Norman

Gardner – Funeral services for Roger Allen Norman, 53, Edgerton, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Bruce Funeral Home in Gardner. Burial will follow in Edgerton Cemetery.Mr. Norman died Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at his home.He was born Dec. 24, 1953, in Lawrence, the son of Herb Frank and Kathryn Hiebsch Norman. He graduated from Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, Kan., in 1971 and attended Kansas City Vo-Tech to study auto mechanics. Mr. Norman worked as a service technician for various dealerships, including John Wallace Dodge, Jim Clark Motors, Sunflower Dodge and Olathe Dodge. He was a member of the Kansas City Street Dominators Auto Club in 1983.He married Tammy Michelle Speake on Nov. 19, 1993. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include his parents, Joe and Kathryn Ortega, Winchester, and Herb and Dorothy Norman, Kansas City, Kan.; a son, Andrew Ricky Norman, Raytown, Mo.; two daughters, Cassandra Dawn Ray, Overland Park, and Pamela Diane Speake, of the home; a brother, Randy Adam Norman, Kansas City, Kan.; two stepbrothers; three stepsisters; and a grandson.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.The family suggests memorials to Hospice Care of Kansas City or Cancer Action of Overland Park, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O.
