Marvin L. "Lester" Cleek Jr. 1926 - 2007 Lawrence
Graveside services for Marvin L. "Lester" Cleek Jr., 81, Lawrence, will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Underwood Cemetery in Williamstown.Mr. Cleek died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.He was born Jan. 19, 1926, in Gilliam, Mo., the son of Marvin L. Sr., and Velma Pearl Bateson Cleek. He attended school in Marshall, Mo.Mr. Cleek was a farmhand in Williamstown and the Jefferson County area.He married Gwynn Kyle in 1951. She died in 1958. He married Cora Elnora Lee in 1987 in Lawrence. She died in 1990.Survivors include a brother, Leonard Cleek, Lawrence; and a sister, Marjorie LeRoux, Lawrence.Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where the family will receive them from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.The family suggests memorials to the Lester Cleek Memorial Fund, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O.
