Eric Clayton Price

Baldwin City – Funeral services for Eric Clayton Price, 26, Baldwin City, will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Baldwin City. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Baldwin City. Mr. Price died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. He was born Sept. 9, 1980, in Kansas City, Kan., the son of Terry A. and Cynthia M. Clauer Price. He grew up and attended Silver City and Piper grade schools. He graduated from Piper High School in 1999 and Baker University in 2003 with a business degree and received his teaching certificate in 2004. Mr. Price was a computer teacher at Louisburg Middle School, where he taught sixth, seventh and eighth grade. He also coached the seventh- and eighth-grade boys basketball team. He previously worked at Arrowhead Hardware in Baldwin City and his father’s family business, Quality Ornamental Iron Inc., in Kansas City, Kan. He was a member of Zeta Chi fraternity at Baker University and served on its Board of Trustees as vice president and chapter adviser. He was a member of Kansas City Boy Scout Troop 34, where he served as assistant scout master. He received his Eagle Scout Award in 1998. He also was active in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.Mr. Price enjoyed golfing, paintballing, constructing model cars and reading. He enjoyed World Wrestling Entertainment events and was a Kansas City Chiefs fan. He also loved to spend time with his family and friends.He married Danielle Elizabeth Shuck on June 1, 2002, at First United Methodist Church in Baldwin City. She survives, of the home. Other survivors include a daughter, Cydnee Kay Elizabeth, of the home; his parents, Terry and Cynthia Price, Kansas City, Kan.; maternal grandparents, Lester and Frances Clauer, Lenexa; his wife’s parents, Mark and Jan Shuck, Baldwin City; two brothers, Michael A. Price and wife Amy, Paragould, Ark., and Scott Owens and wife Kris, Gladstone, Mo.; a sister, Cheryl Williams and husband Charles, Smithville, Mo.; two brothers-in-law, Kenton and Kirsten Shuck, Baldwin City; and four nieces and two nephews.He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harold and Dorothy Price.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the church.The family suggests memorials to the Eric C.
