Eudora – Mass of Christian burial for William J. “Bill” Kelly, 85, Eudora, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Eudora. Burial will be at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery.Mr. Kelly died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006, at the Eudora Nursing Center.He was born March 12, 1921, in Sarcoxie, Mo., the son of William J. Sr. and Una Reeves Kelly.Mr. Kelly served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked for nearly 30 years for Cooperative Farm Chemicals Co. in Lawrence and retired in April 1983.He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Eudora, Knights of Columbus, and Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 441.He married Mary L. Gruber on April 24, 1946, in Eudora. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include a son, Bill, Seattle; four daughters, Kathy Smith, Baldwin City, Patricia Buche, Pratt, Margie Waterman, Kansas City, Kan., and Susan Kelly, Eudora; a brother, Joe, Lawrence; four sisters, Mary Margaret Katzfey, Lawrence, Mildred Trefz, Eudora, Frances Olmstead, Olathe, and Agnes Borland, Farmersville, La.; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.A parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary Eudora Chapel.The family suggests memorials to Heart of America Hospice, sent in care of the mortuary, 1003 John L.
