Godfrey F. Edwards

Services for Godfrey F. Edwards, 92, Oskaloosa, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Oskaloosa. Burial will follow in Plum Grove Cemetery northeast of Oskaloosa.Mr. Edwards died Monday, Feb. 26, 2007, at Jefferson County Memorial Hospital in Winchester. He was born July 17, 1914, in Oskaloosa, the son of Frank and Etta North Edwards. Mr. Edwards was a farmer and drove a truck for the state of Kansas. He was a former member of the Odd Fellows lodge and attended the Blessed Hope Baptist Church, both in Oskaloosa. Survivors include many nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
