Clarence Murray Hodge

Graveside services with military honors for Clarence Murray Hodge, 80, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Hodge died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Topeka.He was born June 4, 1926, in Lawrence, the son of Clarence and Charlotte Barnes Hodge. He was a lifelong resident of Lawrence.Mr. Hodge served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked at Constant/Kansas Construction as an office manager for 35 years until the company closed. He also worked for the Lawrence Housing Authority for three years and Westlake Ace Hardware for five years.He married Rosetta Badger on Oct. 10, 1946. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include two sons, Terry and wife Charlene, and David and wife Penny, both of Lawrence; a daughter, Patricia Crain, Lawrence; a sister, Mildred Leffler, rural Lawrence; six grandchildren, Amy Profeta, Brian Powell, Terry, Robert and Eli Hodge, and Sarah Sanders; and three great-grandchildren, Austin and Sydney Sanders and Sofia Profeta.
