Warren L. Mann 1920 - 2007 De Soto
De Soto - Services for Warren L. Mann, 86, De Soto, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at De Soto Baptist Church. Burial will follow at De Soto Cemetery.Mr. Mann died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007.He was born Oct. 9, 1920, in Tyrone, Okla., the son of Howard and Dora Mann. Mr. Mann served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a government employee for more than 30 years and retired from the De Soto post office as postmaster. He was a member of De Soto Masonic Lodge No. 40 for more than 50 years.He married Wilma Hutchison on Jan. 14, 1943. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include two sons, Robert, Shawnee, and Ronald, Lenexa; 12 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn Mann.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the church, where Masonic services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday.The family suggests memorials to the church, P.O. Box E, De Soto 66018.Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel in De Soto is in charge of arrangements.
