Harold M. Keim

Ozawkie – Funeral services for Harold M. Keim, 87, Ozawkie and Valley Falls, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Ozawkie United Methodist Church. Burial with American Legion honors will be in the Ozawkie Cemetery.Mr. Keim died Friday, Feb. 9, 2007, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka.He was born Sept. 27, 1919, in rural Ozawkie, the son of Alva Morton and Flossie Pearl Kientz Keim.Mr. Keim lived and worked on the family farm for more than 60 years before moving to Valley Falls.He served as a field artillery corporal in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of Larner-Segraves American Legion Post No. 36 at Oskaloosa, the VFW Post No. 10815 in Meriden, the I.O.O.F. Lodge No. 594 in Ozawkie and Valley Falls, the Meriden Antique Engine and Thrashers Association and the Valley Falls Historical Society.Survivors include his sister, Dorothy Kirkham, Valley Falls, and several nieces and nephews.Friends may call from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Oskaloosa.The family suggests memorials to the American Legion Post No. 36 or to the Meriden Antique Engine and Thrashers Association, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O.
