Frank F. Findley 1926 - 2007 Baldwin City
Graveside services for Frank F. Findley, 81, Baldwin City, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Oakwood Cemetery in Baldwin City.Mr. Findley died Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, in Baldwin City.He was born April 20, 1926, in Hiawatha, the son of William R. and Ruth Gilmore Findley. He graduated from Lawrence Memorial High School and attended Kansas University.Mr. Findley served in the U.S. Air Force from 1944 to 1946. He worked at Obers Clothing in Lawrence and Mallards Clothing in Prairie Village. He owned Pats Dari Ring and also worked for Food for Less.He married Patsy R. Dillon on July 4, 1948, in Baldwin City. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include two sons, Mark and wife Connie, Gladstone, Mo., and Eric, Baldwin City; a daughter, Deborah S. Findley Purvis and husband John, Derby; a sister, Dorothy Koger; three brothers, Jim and wife Peggy, David and wife Sharon, and Paul and wife Virginia; a sister-in-law, Vi Findley; four grandchildren, Kent, Brett, Winston and Whittney; and five great-grandchildren, Ben, Landry, Hank, Kale and Cal.Mr. Findley was preceded in death by a brother, Bill, and a sister, Catherine.The family suggests memorials to Heart of America Hospice, 1311 Wakarusa, Suite 2121, Lawrence, KS 66049.
