Barry Allen Cooper

Services for Barry Allen Cooper, 50, Council Grove, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, at Council Grove United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Sunny Slope Cemetery in Council Grove.Mr. Cooper died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007, at Newman Memorial County Hospital in Emporia after a short illness.He was born July 3, 1957, the son of Robert L. Cooper and Betty R. Cook Cooper. He attended schools in De Soto and Council Grove. Mr. Cooper married Debbie Adams on March 20, 1982, in Council Grove. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include a son, Matt; a daughter, Breann Cooper; a sister, Sandra Cooper, Kansas City, Mo.; six brothers, Terry and wife Karen, Claremore, Okla., Tim and wife Sue, Eudora, David, Omaha, Neb., Jeff and wife Beth, Kansas City, Kan., Kirt and wife Barbara, and Ben and wife Kim, both of Kansas City, Mo.; his parents-in-law, Jack and Una Adams, Council Grove; a granddaughter, Brooklyn Cooper; 30 nieces and nephews; and many cousins, extended family members and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert “Randy”; a brother-in-law, Danny Adams; and a nephew, Jeremy Cooper.The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church before the services.
