Peggy Stallard

Funeral Services for Peggy Stallard, 78, Lake Dabinawa, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Williamstown Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in Underwood Cemetery in Williamstown. Mrs. Stallard died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.She was born Aug. 21, 1929, in Mount Pleasant, Ark., the daughter of Marvin T. and Olga Cavanaugh Everett. She was a former resident of Williamstown and Ozawkie. Mrs. Stallard was a homemaker and farmed with her husband in the Williamstown/Perry area since 1946. She was a member of Arab Shrine Auxiliary and Moose Lodge Auxiliary, both in Topeka, and American Legion Auxiliary 225 in Ozawkie. She was a longtime Girl Scout leader and Jefferson County 4-H leader.She married Harold L. Stallard on Dec. 27, 1946, in Topeka. He died Aug. 19, 1987.Survivors include a son, Bill Stallard, Wamego; three sisters, Nadine Hunter, Marcellus, Mich., Helen Franco, Fremont, Calif., and Helen Foley, Cincinnati, Ohio; and five grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. tonight at Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Oskaloosa.
