Vada Christella Schwada 1913 - 2007 Taylor, Mo.
Funeral services for Vada Christella Schwada, 93, Quincy, Ill., will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mount Olivet United Methodist Church in Taylor. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Maplewood Cemetery in Clarence. Mrs. Schwada died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007, at the Good Samaritan Home in Quincy. She was born Dec. 24, 1913, in Macon County, the daughter of John Edgar and Ruby P. Butner Richardson. She previously lived in the Fabius Community northwest of Palmyra.She married Lowell Henry Schwada on March 29, 1933, in Atlanta, Mo. He died Sept. 6, 1999. Survivors include a daughter, Sharon G. Pruett, Huntsville; four sons, J. Duane Schwada, Lawrence, Kan., Fredric L. Schwada, Geneseo, Ill., and Richard L. Schwada, Quincy, Ill., and Robert V. Schwada, Whitefish, Mont.; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra.
