Theodore C. “Tobe” Filbert

Graveside services for Theodore C. “Tobe” Filbert, 58, Salina, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Reformed Presbyterian Cemetery in Winchester. Mr. Filbert died Monday, Aug. 27, 2007, at his home.He was born April 21, 1949, in Leavenworth, the son of Charles Edward and Edna Marie Henning Filbert. He graduated from Winchester High School in 1967 and attended Independence Junior College. He lived in Salina 17 years.Mr. Filbert worked at Bogey’s Meats and Restaurant in Salina for 12 years. He previously worked at Smokey River Meat Company for five years owned and operated Overbrook Meat Processing. He also had been a meat cutter at Macomber Processing in Winchester. He was a member of the Berkshire Country Club, Senior Golf League and the American Poolplayers Association league, all in Salina.Survivors include two sons, Tony and Aaron, both of Topeka; two daughters, Josie Filbert, California, and Crystal Nelson, Coleman, Fla.; three brothers, Don, Liberty, Mo., Ed, Valley Falls, and Mike, Great Bend; four sisters, Marge Farrell, Effingham, Betty Corriston, Leavenworth, Barbara Main, Lawrence, and Peggy Meyer, Winchester; and 12 grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Oskaloosa.
