Roger L. Wellman 1958 - 2007 St. Louis
Funeral services for Roger L. Wellman, 49, St. Louis, will be at 1 p.m.. Saturday at Collier's Funeral Home in Bridgeton, Ill. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence.Mr. Wellman died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007, at a St. Louis hospital.He was born July 19, 1958, in Wellington, the son of Vere and Clara Carnahan Wellman.Mr. Wellman was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, parents and siblings.He married Diane M. Pickert. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include a son, Sam R., of the home; a daughter, Jessica N. Wellman, of the home; his mother and stepfather, Clara and Ernie Butell, Lawrence; four brothers, Ron and wife Amy, Eudora, Mike and wife Sandy, Lawrence, Scott and wife Ann Marie, Merrimack, N.H., and Brad Butell, Baldwin City; three sisters, Susan McNeil and husband Kent, De Soto, Linda Fyler and husband Randy, Lawrence, and Laura George and husband Eugene, Baldwin City.The family suggests memorials to the Jessica and Sam Wellman Scholarship Fund, sent in care of U.S. Bank, 12375 St. Charles Rock Road, Bridgeton, MO 63044 or Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.Online condolences may be made at <a href="http://www.rumsey-yost.com">www.rumsey-yost.com</a>.
