Midland, Texas – Funeral services for Mildred W. Rudd, 84, Midland, will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Kelview Heights Baptist Church in Midland, Texas. Burial will follow in Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring, Texas.Mrs. Rudd died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007, at the Hospice Inpatient Unit in Midland after a battle with breast cancer.She was born Dec. 16, 1922, in Fredonia, Texas, the daughter of Willie and Laura Bradshaw Kinman.She lived in several Texas cities, including Alpine and Pecos.Mrs. Rudd was a manager in charge of operator services for Southwestern Bell Telephone. She retired in 1978 after 35 years of employment. After retirement, she spent most of her time enriching the lives of her three children and grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing for her family, creating unique crafts, cooking and reading.She married Neil A. Rudd on Jan. 29, 1951. He died in 1981. They shared 30 years of marriage. They lived in Big Spring, Texas.Mrs. Rudd then relocated to Lawrence, Kan., to live with her youngest daughter. She moved in December to Midland, Texas, to live with her two oldest daughters.Survivors include three daughters, Priscilla Horn, Frisco, Texas, Cathey Roman, Midland, Texas, and Cindy Herington, Lawrence, Kan.; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey and Jennifer Roman, Jeremy Antley, Sarah and Rachel Horn, and Trey and Amanda Herington; and a great-grandson, Kaden West.All of her siblings and her parents preceded her in death.The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home and Crematory in Midland, Texas.The family suggests memorials to Susan G.
