Faye Aldean Bell-Carter

Funeral services for Faye Aldean Bell-Carter, 58, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.Mrs. Faye Carter died Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at Plaza West Regional Health Center in Topeka.She was born Aug. 21, 1948, in Arcola, Miss., the daughter of Milton Butler and Nancy Galloway.Mrs. Carter was a certified nursing assistant. She was a member of Community Church of God.Survivors include two daughters, Sylvia Eyvette Bell and Lisa Hatter, both of Lawrence; a stepdaughter, Cyrstal Barbie, Kansas City, Mo.; five sons, Scott Edwards, Tulsa, Okla., Charles Bell, Fort Smith, Ark., Robert Carter Jr., Ronnell Carter and Joseph Barbie, all of Kansas City, Mo.; six brothers, James Edwards, Omaha, Neb., Major, Coney Jr. and Leander Edwards, all of Lawrence, Decatro Edwards, Topeka and Cardell Edwards, Kansas City, Mo.; five sisters, Katherine Bratton, Flora Taylor, Lunda Edwards and Brenda Rose Edwards, all of Lawrence, and Wynetta Oyeleye, Memphis, Tenn.; 15 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a special cousin, Charlene Robinson.The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.The family suggests memorials to the Carter Family Memorial Fund, sent in care of the mortuary.Online condolences may me sent at www.warrenmcelwain.com, subject: Carter.
