Paul Robert Stucky

Inman – Memorial services for Paul Robert Stucky, 78, Inman, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Inman. A private family burial will precede the service.Mr. Stucky died Monday, July 30, 2007, at Hutchinson Hospital.He was born April 12, 1929, in Pretty Prairie, the son of Paul and Marie Esau Stucky. He graduated from Inman High School and attended Tabor College. He later graduated form McPherson College.Mr. Stucky served in the U.S. Army.Before his military service, Mr. Stucky taught in a one-room country school. He later was a business teacher at Miltonvale High School and Newton High School. He then worked for the Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe Railway until he retired. He was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Inman.He married Darlene Regier on Dec. 29, 1951. She survives.Other survivors include a son, Lynell and wife Debra, Leawood, four daughters, Nancy Ensz and husband Bryan and Natalie Hosford and husband Mark, all of Lawrence, Carol Wright and husband Gerald, Newton, and Paula Kirchner and husband Michael, Durango, Colo.; a brother, Richard, Shawnee; three sisters, Ruby Christensen, Wichita, Anne Schroeder, American Falls, Idaho, and Kathryn Caffrey, Charleston, S.C.; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.Mr. Stucky was preceded in death by his parents.The family suggests memorials to Pleasant View Home in Inman, sent in care of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 300 E. 30th St., Hutchinson 67502.Online condolences may be sent at www.penwellgabel.com.
