Ardith “Kay” Reese

McLouth – Funeral services for Ardith “Kay” Reese, 68, of the Lake Dabinawa community in rural McLouth, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at McLouth United Methodist Church. Burial will be in McLouth Cemetery.Mrs. Reese died Thursday, April 26, 2007, at her home after a long illness.She was born May 2, 1938, in Phoenix, the daughter of Arthur Alton and Bernice Mae Weed Powell. She graduated in 1957 from Calumet High School in Calumet, Okla. She lived in the Lawrence and McLouth areas since 1969.Mrs. Reese was a homemaker. She was active in Girl Scouts for many years and was a member of bowling leagues in Lawrence. She was also a member of McLouth United Methodist Church.She married Charles D. “Chuck” Reese on May 26, 1957, in Calumet, Okla. He survives, of the home. Other survivors include a son, Orla Ray Reese, Radnor, Pa.; two daughters, Diana Kay Vansickle, Parkville, Mo., and Carolyn Marie Reese-Kasson, McLouth; and eight grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Oskaloosa. The casket will remain closed.The family suggests memorials to the McLouth United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, Jefferson County Friends of Hospice, Oncology Center at Lawrence Memorial Hospital or an organization of the donor’s choice, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O.
